Text and email aren't the fastest way to get a repair scheduled. If your door is stuck open, the spring has let go, or the opener won't respond, call, that's how we triage what's actually broken versus what can wait a day.
We don't run 24-hour emergency dispatch. If your call comes in after hours, leave a message with your address and what the door is doing, and we'll get back to you when the shop opens.
What Happens After You Call
When you call, we ask what the door is doing, won't open, won't close, makes a bang and stops, opener runs but the door doesn't move. That tells us whether it's a spring, a cable, a track out of alignment, or an opener problem before anyone drives out.
A lot of houses in this area were built between 1962 and 2005, with most of the stock going up in the 1980s and 90s. That matters because a door installed in that window is often on its second or third spring set by now, and the opener may predate the safety-reversal standards that came later. Knowing the rough age of your house helps us guess what parts to bring.
We'll give you a window for the visit, not an exact minute, traffic on the Eastside doesn't cooperate with exact minutes. Once we're there, we diagnose first and tell you the cost before we start work, not after.
One honest limit: if a part isn't something we stock on the truck, certain opener control boards or an odd-sized custom panel, we'll tell you it needs to be ordered rather than pretend we can finish that day. Can you come out the same day I call?
Often, but we don't run round-the-clock emergency dispatch, so it depends on the day and what's already on the schedule. Call and describe what the door is doing, a spring that's snapped usually gets priority over a noisy roller, and we'll give you a real window, not a vague promise.
How old does my opener need to be before it's a fire hazard or safety issue?
We can't give you a firm age cutoff without seeing the unit, but a lot of houses here were built in the 1980s and 90s, and openers from that era often predate later safety-reversal standards. If yours is that old, mention it when you call so we know to check the reversal mechanism on arrival.
Will you tell me the price before you start?
Yes. We diagnose the problem first, tell you what it costs, and only start the repair once you say go. If a part needs ordering because it's not something we carry on the truck, we'll say that too, before charging you for anything.
Do you install new garage openings or just fix existing doors?
Just existing doors and hardware, springs, cables, tracks, rollers, openers, and panel or full door replacement where the opening already exists. If you're framing a new opening or resizing one, that's a contractor's job first; call us once the rough opening is done.
